About Us

History

1993 - Uniform Express evolved from a home based cottage industry.  The focus, historically and at present, remains the manufacturing, sourcing and distribution of unique, quality apparel for the hospitality, healthcare and EMS markets. (scrubs, chef coats, lab coats, stethoscopes, pen lights, pocket liners, scissors, EMS pants, shirts, duty belts)

1993 - 1994 Driven by product demand, Uniform Express expanded to a commercial space on Fort William Road in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was in this location that a retail outlet was opened. A regional, mobile sales campaign was established to distribute quality merchandise to Northern Ontario Hospitals and extended care facilities.

1999 - Under the guidance of apparel engineer Michel Beaudet, Uniform Express adopted a stand up modular production system. Product delivery speed was enhanced and quality was maintained.

2002 - A larger facility was acquired for Uniform Express in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  Marketing consultants Ron Fairholm and J.P.Trottier work with Uniform Express to develop business plan focused on Direct Sales as the distribution method of choice.

2007 - Uniform Express remains competitive in the market via domestic manufacturing, off shore sourcing and enhanced distribution.

2012 - Now located in a large historical warehouse space, accomodating in house embroidery, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, facilitating ease of order delivery.
